You may be wondering what inspired us to create The Super Kids Store. Well, let me tell you a tiny bit of this AMAZING story, from a mothers point of view.
My son had a heart murmur at birth and he was diagnosed with autism when he was 18 months. Doctors said he would never be able to talk or live by himself. His disability was very obvious because he simply wasn’t communicating, change was catastrophic for him, and his repetitive behaviors were off the charts. Would you believe that that child along with his chronically ill younger sister, was the mastermind behind this clothing line?
After years of therapy, doctors giving up on him, and his classmates endlessly bullying and teasing him, he came home one day and collapsed in tears describing how he was being treated and how terrible it made him feel about himself. As a mother, my heart was broken. I decided - THAT MOMENT - to convince him of what I already knew: he is a special kind of hero who will do great things. After some time of encouragement, love, made up stories, a book being produced, and my children’s grand imaginations being activated, he and his sister came up with the idea for this brand and declared it will be successful.
